PHCP founder and owner, Gerd Schwarzkopf has been in the professional hair care industry since 1958 when he joined his father and brother in the family business.
Innovation and entrepreneurship have characterized the businesses we have been involved in for over a century. In 1898 Gerd's grandfather invented a better shampoo. Soon after, the Schwarzkopf company was established and grew to become one of the most important hair care companies in the world. It was acquired by the Henkel Group in 1995.
Gerd Schwarzkopf started PHCP Incorporated in 2004 to produce professional hair colour and related products for the Schwarzkopf companies in Canada and the United States.
Heidi and Christof Schwarzkopf are now following in their father’s footsteps continuing with manufacturing here in Canada. Heidi recently took over leadership at PHCP.
We've grown now since 2004 as a contract manufacturer producing a large line up of private label and other branded products. The innovations continue on in the form of research and development, continuous improvement of our processes and operations, and our "family centered" approach to development of and nurturing of our human resources.
Our goal is to grow and to serve our customers with the level of service they have come to appreciate from our responsive and willing team.
